Someone did once mention that they floated (rather than paddled) down the Leigh river from the Grand Junction Bridge, but again, I believe it is mostly private land to either side and I have no personal experience as to water levels for paddling.
The Moorabool River might be better suited, at least in some parts.
I know there are camping spots around Elaine but I'm not sure about river heights. Someone who might well be able to help more is Cameron Steele from People For a Living Moorabool (PALM) who is a keen paddler, camper and environmentalist. A Google search should find him fairly easily.
Good luck!
JoJo Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08109720134974590748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8127190147676724766.post-83996693442499053872020-05-26T08:41:35.606+10:002020-05-26T08:41:35.606+10:00Good morning - I enjoyed you blog especially since...Good morning - I enjoyed you blog especially since it is an area that I have driven through but besides that know nothing about. I am researching 3 Night camping trips in this area for students and was wondering if you know of any beautiful, understated areas that could be great to take students to...either for a bushwalking or canoe journey? Kind Regards Jesse Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
